OBJECT Persimmon Homes (Ms Anna Davies)
Whilst recognising that certain development can trigger the requirement for community facilities including education, it is considered that a contribution towards such facilities should be sought where it passes the CIL para 123 tests.

COMMENT Colchester United Football Club represented by Lawson Planning Partnership Ltd (Natalie Harris)
High quality sports facilities provision will make a significant contribution to participation in sporting excellence, on this basis CUFC is supportive of this policy approach. However, policy DM4 notes that the delivery of new sports facilities will be focused at 3 hub sites. It is important that the policy does not restrain or inhibit other sports development proposals. The following wording should be added to policy DM4:
"Proposals for the provision of sports facilities and new sports grounds at locations well related to the functional requirements of the proposed use will also be supported."

COMMENT MISA - Mersea Island Sports Association (Mr Matthew Townend)
On behalf of MISA, I would like to highlight that Mersea should be considered as a strategic hub for sport, our location means it can be hard for people to travel to the sites you have highlighted. We have flourishing participation in sports such as Rugby, Football & Cricket but our current home the Glebe on Mersea is suffering from inadequate Car Parking, Pitch numbers and Mersea is one of the few villages of without any all weather playing surface. If the council agree the plan they should use this as an opportunity to build appropriate sporting facilities.

OBJECT Mr Tom Burridge
