Representation: Therefore if one considers all of the above when thinking long term (10 years) then Mersea Island is the wrong choice for large development

Original submission

The island can not cope with another 700/1000 persons, with no police 24 hrs presents, school, doctors. This number would expand over a 5 year period to 1500 with children.
Another 1000 cars would cause traffic problems and pollution.
Loss of country side and I am sure this would be just the beginning of the problems because then after 350 houses are built an application for another 350 would be applied for by developers.
Excess over the Strood a major problem.
When the summer season starts another 3000 people and 1500 cars per week staying a the caravan parks at a minimum
So it would be crazy to start this madness
