Mersea. Island is not like other sites around Colchester being considered, as it has only one access road and at times no access or exit at all. An extra 1000 people, particularly in the summer when there are already many extra visitors could cause massive problems during high tides especially. This would be even more worrying if Bradwell is rebuilt. The school, sewerage, roads etc will not be able to cope with these.extra people, and the doctors surgery has been unable to cope with the present population for ages. The access on to the main road from the proposed sites is unsuitable for extra traffic as was proven a while ago when traffic was diverted along there because of an accident and a massive traffic jam ensued. There are also Badgers in the vicinity and they and their sets are protected by law, and any construction company causing damage would face large fines.
