Representation 744 on Preferred Options Local Plan by Mr David Haslam

Support / Object: OBJECT
Document Link: Preferred Options Local Plan - Sustainable Settlements, Mersea Island, SS17a: Mersea Housing and Employment
Representation: Whilst accepting the need for some houses, the Island currently has: overloaded Doctors' Practice, insufficient space for new classrooms, overloaded sewerage works, inadequate policing, poor road infra structure, severe shortage of village parking space with some areas inaccessible to emergency vehicles because of on road parking. Lack of or inadequate footpath on East Road.
With the new 365 days p.y caravan occupancy, there are already in excess of 350 new "dwellings" excluding the many new "in fill" houses being built each year.
