Existing infrastructure issues:
-Mersea Road floods in adverse weather.
-Dawes Lane traffic issues when Colchester Road impassable.
-Increased need for emergency services (including Air Ambulance)
-Mains water pressure already very low.
-Sewage processing at capacity - additional burden may affect the local Oyster and fishing industries.
-Need additional medical and dental facilities
-Need additional school spaces and teachers
-Increased need for local police presence.
-Increasing 12 month occupancy of static caravans
-Increased need to retain recycling center in Upland Road.
-Increased need for footpath maintenance on roads (sadly lacking)
-Limited employment opportunities on Mersea
