Representation: The island simply cannot support an increase in population of around a 1,000 people because of sewage disposal, road systems, School capilities and medical care which is at bursting point now. Mersea is an island, only one access road cut off each day at high tides. Furthermore the proposed nuclear power plant at Bradwell will be a hazard in the event of an emergency. A danger to increase the population of an island 3 miles from this site compares to setting up a picnic area for children in the fast lane of the A12.exercise common sense and safety over money.
