Building a further 350 homes on the small Island of Mersea will damage and strain infrastructure and services. Theoretically speaking, if there is a 11% increase on the current population of Mersea the school, doctors and other services will all face the massive strain. The school holds enough children as it is, adding various other children from these new homes would simply break the scales, more classrooms would have to be built - this only increases the money having to be spent. Additionally, employment is difficult enough as it is, throw more people into the mix and it gets worse.
