Representation: Mersea Island does not have the necessary infrastructure capacity in terms of Doctors/Schools/Car Parking/Road network & Surface water drainage to cope with a fixed population increase of approximately 1000 people relating to the proposed housing at Dawes Lane & Brierley Paddocks. In terms of Drainage we have continual flooding problems, after protracted correspondence and complaining to ECC a water jetting unit was sent, all drains found to be clear, again after numerous complaints I was told by the ECC drainage Engineer that nothing can be done there's nowhere for the water to go, this problem is across the Island
