Original submission

I would like to take this opportunity to strongly object to the proposed development of up to 200 houses at Brierley Paddocks and up to 150 houses at Dawes Lane. East Road can barely handle the odd bus, let alone traffic from two new housing estates plus the incoming / outgoing plant machinery associated during the proposed construction phase. These proposals have been badly construed with little or no thought for the impact upon the existing infrastructure of this island. A single Doctors surgery where they're already letting patients go, a single over-subscribed dental surgery, next to no-where to park in the town - it's bad enough out of season, let alone in the summer months.. how will West Mersea cope with the extra 500+ or so vehicles ?
