I am a resident of West Mersea for the last 51 years and could not believe of the proposed development of another 350 homes. As you must know we are a small island!! one road onto the island and one road off the island. High Tides certain times of the day approx. every other week so restricting getting on and off the island. We also have several caravan sites west and east mersea adding to the population. We have one very busy doctors surgery we have one very busy Junior School adding to these will certainly make it more difficult for mersea residents with some patients recently from outlying areas taken off the patient list. The volume of traffic is also getting worrying at times . A fight to proceed down bus route roads, the roads are exactly the same but as you must know vehicles lorries, vans, cars have all got larger making congestion much worse. Because of parked cars on the roads. What is going to happen if more house are built children going to school with parents using there cars to get them there. Nobody walks anymore perhaps the Council will provide a bus for them. I hope this letter explains some of my concerns about increasing development on this small island
yours sincerely
A Beardwell
