Representation: We regularly experience dreadful bus accident due to the roads unsuitability and this will add further demand and further risk to journeys to and from the island. All amenities are already over stretched, including schools, doctors, dentists and supermarkets. There is no permanent Police presence on the island and with the proposed 350 new homes will mean 700 more cars and 1,000 plus more people... you do the maths.

Original submission

The planned numbers are far too high, existing roads cannot possibly cope with the increased traffic. Only one route on and off the island that is regularly cut off by tide and road accidents, the issue of being able to leave the island in an emergency if required with this increase is a health and safety risk. We regularly experience dreadful bus accident due to the roads unsuitability and this will add further demand and further risk to journeys to and from the island. All amenities are already over stretched, including schools, doctors, dentists and supermarkets. There is no permanent Police presence on the island and with the proposed 350 new homes will mean 700 more cars and 1,000 plus more people... you do the maths.
