Land put forward to the emerging Local Plan by Braiswick Golf Club for Housing.
I object to the above land being allocated for housing.
The access would be onto Braiswick then to Bergholt Road. Bergholt Road is already straining under the increased traffic due to the New Braiswick Park site which is now complete. Any increase in traffic on this road is very likely to increase CO2 emissions to a high level.
In Braiswick there is already a shortage of residential amenities which already increase congestion as Braiswick Residents have to leave the area for Secondary Schools, Doctors are full and there is no local shopping within walking distance. Any new builds will make the area even more unsustainable.
Access to the site would be through a residential road which is a dead end and the road was not built for through traffic.
The site is not in a position that will encourage any form of transport other than private cars.
Sustainability should be the thread going through any Local Plan and this site would not contribute to the sustainability of the area
