Original submission

There is not enough infrastructure to support all the homes planned on We s t Mersea. it is difficult enough getting on and off the island especially in the summer months from as early as April to September as the island population more than doubles, and when the tide is high in particular it can be near impossible to get on and off the island and we c an bbc ed :) eld up for nearly 2 hours at . a time.
The go surgery has already had to tell over 90 patients that they have to find an alternative go service because the surgery can't cope with the patients it already has, how do yo u imagine that it will be able to accommodate another 1000 plus at least more residents permanently on Mersey island.
The primary school is also unable to cope with the influx of primary aged children these houses will bring to th d island, and it hasn't enough playing area in thr school to be able to. extend and s til give enough playing/gym exercise area for the pupils.
