Representation: Adequate parking (2 car spaces) needed for new houses to avoid adding to congestion.
The school cannot expand without losing playing fields.
Properties will not be offered as a priority to Mersea residents or affordable by local people.

This is a venture for the rich with some affordable housing thrown in.

Mixing affordable housing has not worked on the Well House Green estate socially and just exasperates a "them and us" atmosphere.

Original submission

1.unless each house is allocated a minimum of 2 car parking spaces the development will bring extra cars into already congested roads and getting around the village will become even more troublesome
350 x 2 = 700 extra cars at the very least - probably more as under 30's can no longer afford to buy so stay chez mum and dad. Will all the roads on Mersea be repaired and overhauled to cope - no I didn't think so. So 1 reason it doesn't get my vote.
2 the primary school does not have the space to expand without losing playing fields.
3 it would get my vote if Mersea residents were offered the properties first and prices were affordable. Neither of those points are likely. In fact they are not even going to be considered. This is a venture by the rich for the rich with a smattering of affordable housing thrown in. It has not worked on the well house green estate socially and just exasperates a "them and us" atmosphere.

Please count my vote as a no to the proposed development
