Representation: They are applying to build on a field that is a haven to wildlife and it floods ,do you not think with all the other building on the wharf we seriously need anymore houses. The village has no facilities for more housing. Parking and roads cannot cope. covering the filed in concrete will only cause more flooding see attached photographs taken from my back garden.

Original submission

I strongly object to the proposal to build on Battleswick Farm land. I have lived in my house for 54 years it back on to the field in which they are applying to build. that field is a haven for wild life and it floods. Do you not think with all the other building going on at the Wharf we seriously need anymore houses in this area. The village as we like to be called has no facilities for more housing. We are a VILLAGE and want to remain so. Parking and roads cannot cope even now. Please leave us alone. with the chance of 17,000 houses to be build on the middlewick ranges , do we really need anymore this side of Town, which cant cope with what we have now. Has anyone looked into the farmhouse age I am sure it by far the oldest dwelling in this side of Town it has history. Covering that field with concrete will only add to more flooding , I'm not just saying that I enclose photographs taken in my garden in May this year. Its been like that ever since I moved here some times worse. It wouldn't take much for the water to enter our houses. The brook runs from birch lake (as Im sure you are aware) the water people cant keep it clear as the distance it runs it soon silts ups
yours faithfully
Mrs M D Ireland
