I attach two photographs, taken today (16/09/16) ONE hour apart, one at 14.20pm, one at 15.20pm, showing the effects of the rain that has fallen solidly since 12.30pm.
The bottom left hand corner post as seen in the second photograph is the start of my garden, the start of our boundary with Birch Brook, and the sloping field that it is proposed to build upon.
At this rate, Birch Brook will have burst its banks into our garden and property by this evening.
The flooding affects property numbers 73-127 Hillview Close. Who will be responsible for the damage and insurance claims resulting from constant flooding - after each rainfall - that these properties will experience?
The Local Planning Committee needs to reject all development and boundary change proposals for Battleswick Farm; to do anything else would be utterly irresponsible and an absolute betrayal of all taxpayers living in Rowhedge, all existing and future children who want, need and deserve to be educated in the village where they live.
Look at these photographs, listen to our objections, look at the plans for the Wharf development. Rowhedge can no longer be considered a viable option for development - we do not have the resources. Please protect our village.
