Representation: object to further 350 plus houses, strain on roads, schools, health services and the character of West Mersea will suffer.

Original submission

We wish to object strenuously to the proposed developments on the grounds that several hundred houses (350plus) with a likely addition to the population of over 1,000 will
1) plan intolerable strain on the drainage ad roads ie: traffic congestion and parking problems
2) add to the pressure on the already seriously overstretched health surgery services which are in overcrowded facilities and with snail like progress on a new health centre
3) create severe overcrowding problems for the island primary school again currently seriously overstretched
4) progressively or regressively change the character of West Mersea which current residents cherish
There is clearly a considerable discontent in Mersea about these proposals and we very much hoe they will be rejected.

John L Davies (Professor)
