Representation 2044 on Preferred Options Local Plan by Mrs Sylvia Errington

Support / Object: OBJECT
Document Link: Preferred Options Local Plan - Sustainable Settlements, Mersea Island, SS17a: Mersea Housing and Employment
Representation: The two developments have the potential to generate 700+ additional adults, 700+ additional children and 700+ additional vehicles to the already overstretched facilities on the island. The following facilities would be overwhelmed by such an increase in demand:
Medical services - Fire and Ambulance services - Sewage and storm drainage - Sewage Treatment - Nuclear Emergency Evacuation - Schooling and Bussing - Service Supplies - Shops and Parking -
Policing - Public Transport.
Existing road widths/layouts around the Brierly Paddock site cannot accomodate the increase in traffic load.
Consideration is needed for the effects of increased Summer population on the proposals.
