Representation 1740 on Preferred Options Local Plan by Mr Kerrin Doyle

Representation: The infrastructure on Mersea is at breaking point already, we have no police station, an inadequate doctors surgery, the water/sewage system is at breaking point. By adding the demands of approximately 1000 people (not taking in to account other developments and increased tourism) Mersea would be tipped over the edge. The potential for the new nuclear power station also puts the development into question. My main concern however is for jobs on the island and the schooling of local children, the local school is over subscribed with large class numbers and the town is already a commuter town for people.
