Representation: Vehicle access through the folly pedestrian access through the existing estate

Original submission

I feel this development is channelling the traffic through the existing estate unnecessarily and will not only funnel the traffic through already double parked cars etc. at busy hours but also during School times. These routes are not only used by cars but also cyclists and horses including the School cyclist proficiency training. I have heard the reason for not having a vehicular access onto the folly is because of the lack of a footpath, surely then vehicles could use an access onto the folly and pedestrian access could be through the estate. I also question the lack of amenities including School places Layer primary is already oversubscribed and this would just exacerbate the situation, the situation with Layer surgery is the same after Birch surgery closed. I feel this is the same Colchester policy which has greedily accepted new housing without the forethought for the infrastructure really needed and has lead to social problems and lack of intuitive infrastructure Colchester now suffers.
