Chesterwell high school on hold

No traffic / capacity improvements on A134

Original submission

The proposed location seems reasonable but the plan incorrectly states that the village shop in easily accessible from this location. A community hub and Secondary school is planned for Myland so improving access from Great Horkesley to Myland should be part of this proposal or a second shop in Great Horkesley. The proposal does not explain what additional provision with be made for local GP services (nearest being Myland) and schooling (high school at Chesterwell is on hold, capacity at Bishop William Ward). The plan doesn't explain the impact on local roads nor a survey covering delayed journey times via the new A134/NAR3 junction due to the basic traffic management system. Funds should be reserved via the S106 mechanism to improve Great Horkesley as part of this development, building a new scout hut is one such example
