We both strongly object to the 3 areas of development on this policy SS6 .
The main objection especially is to the land referred to as Long Road West / The Heath is the following .
Your reasons for not developing Lambs corner is it's isolation but they have bus routes the same as the Heath does .Also both locations are not easily accessible by walking to the village and back , why then exclude Lambs Corner and indeed Bar Gate Lane as the car will be used . Parking in the village is extremely difficult and now expensive so is driving people to other areas for shopping by car . why then choose The Heath . The development should be spread and not contained to one location .
If 5 houses are built on the Long Road West /The Heath plus another 12 on the other sites the increase in traffic / parking is likely to be on average 2/3 cars per house ( as it is now but there is more space to park on the houses land ) that will mean 34 - 51 cars on these small areas .
This land Long Road West / Heath has not been used for many generations , it has large hedgerows , copse and trees which is a sanctuary for numerous species of animals , birds and invertebrates . There is very little land in is area that can accommodate these animals , birds and invertebrates (most land cultivated or neat gardens .)
Type of species on this land seen are bats, woodpeckers, wrens, hedgehogs, stag beetles, butterflies, bees, lady birds etc .If this land was development it will change the local environment .
The character of the junction will change and likely become dangerous with more traffic exiting around it .
For the 3 areas designated to build 17 houses on the Heath in an area of outstanding beauty is quite wrong .
You have stated that the housing should be affordable and accessible , however this area is not particularly affordable and you will need to own a car , which means they will not be bought by the people you are targeting .
If any area should be developed then perhaps Long Road East which appears not to interfere generally with other residents , although it spreads out towards Bar Gate , so why not build there as well .
The plan should reconsider the 3 areas in SS6 so not to impact just The Heath.
