1.The main traffic flows from Rowhedge are westward. This is normal due to the river and further to the east the sea, most journeys are through already congested roads.
It is not right to keep building until all roads become congested. This steals time from travellers. Time is precoius because we each only have 24hours each day and they are not increasing that ever. Delays and congestion cause stress which impacts quality of life, detrementally effects families and children and has cost implications for the health service.
It also costs much more in fuel.
We need more houses built to meet the needs of massive recent immigration but they should be away from existing towns and villages and next to motorways or proper dual carriageways and to the west of colchester where the impact will be minimal.
All increased traffic will be through colchester and this will be pointed out strongly that development was encoraged despite this issue being already pointed out.
Those responsible will be held to account.
2.Rowhedge already has a major housing development underway with no sign of infrastructure improvements. We will need a new school and bigger doctors surgery too.
3. I further object to any more building in or around Rowhedge because it will ruin the cohesion of the community, which has a very good social element.
4. In general land on small tenant farms should not be built on because this will affect the livelyhood of the tenant farmer and employees.
