Dear all. arriving home from holiday I was horrified to find a document detailing proposed building works in and around Bakers Lne, Bergholt Road, W Bergholt an area I moved to eight years ago. Within these eight years 4/5ths of the fields surrounding my home have been built on including the protected site given over the council on which the new Braiswick school has been built despite robust protests and a failed sealed bid to buy the land by concerned local residents.
I would like my own protest against these plans to be logged. At best, the bottom of the Bergholt Road/ Colchester North station intersection is a road users nightmare, blocked and clogged for much of the early morning/evening commuter times and at its worst, complete standstill for up to an hour increasing pollution and accident likliehood as road uses try all means to escape the traffic jams.
Site A falls within English Heritage protected land as part of the Moat Farm National Monument 1019964 that extends from Cymbeline Avenue, Bakers Lane and onward to West Horkesley.
The scheme is ill conceived, will add to the misery of local residents already coping with the increased traffic arising from parents, carers and children arriving and leaving the new school. No traffic calming plan has been put in place for this nor do I feel works for these new builds will address local concern.
I OBJECT WHOLE HEARTEDLY
Bakers Lane CO4 5BB
