Representation: Replace the Battleswick farm site with Rowhedge Business park as a much more suitable site both in terms of location and the community amenities being offered to be housed on this (low employment) site.

Original submission

It is totally unnecessary to use this working, tenanted green field farm site to provide additional housing in Rowhedge when a brownfield site (Rowhedge Business Park) has been put forward. This business park site is far more suitable as it is on the edge of the village, so additional traffic created will not have to go into the congested village. The site is also offering an area for community services i.e. A new medical centre and so at least some of the residents concerns over additional development causing further strain on infrastructure is resolved. The business park has historically had HGV and big plant and storage on the site which most neighbouring residents complain about therefore this site will resolve many issues for the village and be able to provide the 60 residential units required in the plan. Battleswick farm, a greenfield site on a working farm is really an unneccessary cost to the local wildlife and also has natural water courses and has potential flooding issues,
