Please consider the following objections:
1 Water run off/flooding. The properties of Hillview Close are already at
risk of flooding (see environmental risk assessment in planning office).
Already this year the brook has been high and threatened properties next to the brook, even though the pump was on and working, as
reported to the environmental agency. If the land is built on how will this
improve or protect the properties in question? Also Hillview Close was build on marsh land and every time someone builds or has an extension, the natural water underground spring routes are changed and more water was noticed by residents since the new single bungalow at the end of the road was built and trees were cut down to do the build that use to soak up some of the under ground spring water. (Thus could cause landslide or subsidence, already a concern for some neighbouring house, that have been affected due to the previous developments over the past 25 years.
2 There is already going to be an increase in traffic coming into the
village via Fingeringhoe Rd for the development in the Quays and this will
increase traffic on the Rowhedge Rd.
3 Where will the provision of a footpath be located as Hillview Close is
bounded by the Brook? Hillview is a quiet cul-de-sac location and virtually
crime free. Opening this up to a foot path would give access to anyone from
the surrounding area.
4 The village has already been developed for housing on the brownfield site
of the Quays and rumours also say the MOD land Middlewick ranges will also be used for housing, in an area that already lacks network roads, schools etc.
5 Decrease in property value. This home was bought because of its quiet and
field outlook. I have it on authority from estate agent valuation that the
field view adds £10'000 to the property value .
6 Primary School full
7 Surgery full
8 Lack of shopping facilities
9 Loss of prime farming land
10. Lack of privacy in ones own home, as bedrooms will be the same level, and will block lighting to properties, at the lowest point Hillview Close.

11. Security of properties, where most people feel safe at present (low crime) with possible housing association builds being considered in these 60 properties could affect the values of properties and noise levels, to this quite Hillview Close and area.
Increase noise levels, through more housing to a quiet area and road.
Increased risk to health, through building, electricity, pollution etc.
